Stop Factory Farming

May 2014

Do you care about the way farm animals are treated in New Zealand?
Are you concerned about factory farming?
Do you know what factory farming is?

SAFE is presenting a national speaker campaign on factory farming around the country. In these compelling talks SAFE speakers will reveal the hidden world of factory farming. New Zealand claims to be a leader in animal welfare and yet we still have millions of animals locked away in cages and crates, in dingy sheds, involuntarily providing people with their daily bacon, eggs and chicken.

Our Hidden Shame

Over 90 million animals are raised for meat and eggs in dark windowless sheds.
The suffering of these animals is seldom witnessed and is hidden from public view.
For the last 20 years SAFE has been campaigning to stop factory farming.
In 2009 we achieved a rare victory and managed to convince the government
to ban cruel sow stalls.

Help Us Open the Doors

You can help SAFE open the doors to expose these cruel practices.
Come along and learn more about our work and how you can assist the animals
and put an end to factory farming.
