Maple Toasted Muesli
Place all the dry ingredients in a bowl and stir.
Combine the oil, maple syrup, salt, orange zest and vanilla extract. Stir to combine.
Spread the muesli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Toast at 140 degrees Celsius for 30 to 40 minutes.
Flip every 10 minutes, making sure everything is evenly toasted.
Leave to cool completely in a bowl then add the dried fruit and store in an airtight container.
Serve with fresh fruit and almond or soy milk.
- 5 C oat flakes
- 1 C coconut, shredded
- 1 C wheat germ
- 1⁄2 C bran
- 1⁄2 C almonds, chopped
- 1 C pecans or walnuts, coarsely chopped
- 1⁄2 C sunflower and pumpkin seeds
- 5 Tbsp sesame seeds
- 3 tsp grated orange peel
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1⁄2 tsp salt
- 6 tsp vegetable oil
- 1⁄2 C maple syrup
- 1 C raisins
- 1 C dried cranberries
- 1 C dried apricots, cherries or other dried fruit, chopped
