Protest at the Pork Board!

The SAFE protest outside the New Zealand Pork Board was a huge success.
Multiple news stations were there to cover the protest, and we had a huge turnout of about 60 people.

SAFE activists showed up despite the cold to speak out for pigs. Banners stating "Ban Farrowing Crates" and "Stop Factory Farming" were present, with one specially painted for the event. The public was also asked to boycott pork, after the extensive cruelty of the pig industry seen over the last five years.

"It was a fantastic protest, and we're grateful to everyone who participated," says campaign officer Shanti Ahluwalia. "Together, we sent a strong message to both the industry and the government, and helped alert consumers to the darker side of pork.
