WINERY OFFENDS

In a cheap gimmick to sell expensive wine, a Japanese-owned winery dyed sheep red in an effort to gain publicity to promote its red wines. Yes, very funny. Ohsawa winery is the newest winery in the Hawke's Bay area and is marketing its wines to the Japanese market.

The sheep were on display at a recent wine festival. Please politely remind Ohsawa Winery there are much more tasteful, respectful and innovative ways to promote good wine than using cheap and tasteless stunts that don't involve demeaning and causing needless stress to animals.

Email: Ohsawa Winery, Mark Lim, Managing Director.
