SAFE took its vege message back to the Hokitika Wildfoods Festival for the fifth consecutive year. SAFE's signature dish, 'Meaty Vegan Gonads,' was as popular as ever.
The risqué-looking tasty delights consisted of deep-fried soy sausages and two small balls on a skewer. SAFE's event organiser Sacha Dowell says people were saying the gonads were the best tasting food item at the festival. "It was a fantastic advertisement for vegetarian food, particularly since we were also handing out information on the benefits of vegetarianism with every food item sold." "We even made a handsome profit in the process!" proclaims Sacha.
