WITH THE SCHOOL holidays looming, SAFE is planning a session called ‘Why Animals Matter' for young people with a passion for animals. SAFE is inviting children in Christchurch to come along for a crash course in animal rights - for anyone who cares about animals and wants to learn more about animal exploitation. The annual Kidsfest holiday programme is packed with events to entertain and inform restless young ones. The ‘Why Animals Matter' session will include a video, an overview of the main issues, and suggestions on how to help animals. SAFE education officer Nichola Kriek says "The session is filling up fast so if you want to book a place for your child, get in touch with me fast!"
Why Animals Matter. From 2:00pm, Sunday 11 July. SAFE, Level 1, 145 Armagh Street, Christchurch. Age Group: 10 to 13yrs. Free. Booking recommended. Phone Nichola on 03 379 9711. Click here for more information on Kidfest.
