PIGS STEP UP

Last month the famous annual tower race once again took place at the University of Canterbury. It featured a run around the library, a sprint up 11 flights of stairs and a pig!

Over 50 people participated, but only one was dressed as a pig! SAFE campaign assistant Shanti Ahluwalia took to the challenge like a pig to mud! With signs attached proclaiming ‘Factory Farmed Pigs Suffer' Shanti was able to get a clear message to the hundreds of student onlookers. One journalist was overheard saying "anything for animals!"
