Wellington and Christchurch SAFE innocently jostled for the title of best BBQ stall by holding vegetarian sausage sizzles on the same weekend. They each did well, collectively selling almost 500 vegetarian sausages!
Wellington SAFE organiser Trudi reported that their BBQ at the Mt Victoria Eco Fest was very busy and popular, and they were getting requests from people to hold vegetarian BBQ's at other events and locations! At the Lyttelton Festival, Christchurch SAFE volunteer Yasmine said their stall was also popular with "lots of support from people and a good atmosphere". A big thumbs up to the stall organisers and their helpers on the day.  SAFE finds vegetarian sausage sizzles a great way to promote SAFE and vegetarianism in a friendly way.
