We are on the final countdown! With over 1200 people registered to collect funds for abused animals SAFE is delighted to have already reached its goal. This success can be attributed to many things, including community notices, promotional flyers, advertisements, invitations, posters and personal phone calls. It has been a massive effort thanks to a tremendous team of personnel and volunteers. SAFE director Anthony Terry praises the team effort. "SAFE has a wonderful team of committed individuals who work relentlessly behind the scenes. We may not be experts at every task but I know the team makes up for this with energy and sheer determination. Everyone is aware that a successful appeal means increased opportunities for the coming year and this is what drives us to make it better each year," says Anthony. This year SAFE has stepped up promotions to coincide with the appeal, with the release of sponsored television and newspaper advertisements.
"We are extremely grateful for contributions from our members that have enabled us to screen television and newspaper adverts to expose animal abuse and encourage fellow compassionate New Zealanders to support SAFE. They are certainly having an impact, judging by the response and feedback."
