SAFE words

Have you ever awoken from a deep sleep and for a moment not known where you were? Or even who you were? I once dreamt I was a calf being slaughtered - quite a nightmare! Another time, I awoke convinced that the world was an entirely peaceful place for all animals and that SAFE had become redundant. Such a dream is just wishful thinking as the reality is very different. Take reading a newspaper. These show the world is in a state of flux. Scientists studying the earth's environmental problems are making increasingly dire predictions for our future. After reading several such environmental reports I decided the next issue of SAFE magazine would highlight the true major contributors to global warming. The magazine is out this week so SAFE members will receive the 56-page bumper issue any day now.

The magazine makes compelling reading. Among the many enlightening articles is one by regular feature writer Keith Lyons, who quotes Mahatma Gandhi: "Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it." Gandhi's quote speaks to us with profound clarity. Unless we are prepared to remain in denial and believe that the earth will remain a 'Garden of Eden' we need to take action today, no matter how insignificant. The latest issue of SAFE magazine shows you how you can truly help make the world a better and safer place for all life on earth. Members automatically receive it in the mail so if you're not already a member maybe now is the time to join!
