Geordie the goat was tethered alone for 20 years on the roadside. In the news recently, stupid local youths tagged him with spray paint, twice! Other goats have suffered more serious attacks such as being shot, set on fire or dragged behind cars. The proposed new welfare code for goats will allow roadside goats and therefore will not protect goats like Geordie. But you can, by making a submission. Yeah, it takes a while, but only 20 minutes of your life, not some 20 miserable, lonely and fearful years for the goats of New Zealand. |

GIANT PANDA Giant panda are elusive, shy and incredibly rare. Most of what we know about these mammals comes from studies of them in captivity - very few are ever seen in the wild. Dwelling in the bamboo forests in the mountainous regions of central China, a panda spends half of its time eating. |
