CAMPAIGN OFFICER AND OFFICE MANAGER

 

SAFE seeks a confident, passionate, self-motivated individual to join the Auckland team in a key permanent position. The person will be in sole charge of organising and managing events, publicity stunts, demonstrations and volunteer meetings.

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, a sound knowledge of animal rights and welfare issues, able to work flexible hours and be willing to work in an environment that embraces compassion to all animals.

You must possess at least 7 of the following 10 skills with the top 4 skills/attributes being essential.

Gross annual salary under $36,000.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Confident and friendly with people
• Good public speaking and media skills
• Sound knowledge and genuine interest to animal welfare/rights issues

• Good strategic thinker and problem solver
• Ability to cope under stress and tight deadlines
• Able to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Competent computers user and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Filemaker Pro, general accountancy and databases.
• Flexible, adaptable and self-motivating
• Well presented and professional

 

PURPOSE OF POSITION

• To manage the Auckland office and all administration duties.
• To manage campaign activities and volunteer coordinators within the Auckland region in order to support local and national campaigns.
• To manage volunteers to assist with undertaking campaign and promotional events such as stalls, festivals and concerts.
• To manage the coordination of the national appeal in Auckland and supervise the Appeal Coordinator.
• To assist and support campaigns, promotional events or fundraising initiatives as deemed necessary by the Director in conjunction with key SAFE personnel.
• To help increase SAFE's profile and reflect the aims of SAFE.
